CAN YOU AFFORD TO LIVE HERE?

Morro Bay is a beautiful place to live, but the City Council is making it next to impossible for residents to stay. With rising bills, a revolving door of consultants and unchecked spending, ratepayers are left to make unreasonably hard choices. We can make a change.

What the City is Proposing

The City of Morro Bay has approved rates for the proposed Water Reclamation Facility after disenfranchising approximately one thousand protest letters. We are taking measures to ensure the ballots are counted and validated.

Our Mayor

After five years of leadership, Morro Bay mayor Jamie Irons has failed to curb the exorbitant city spending and ratepayer costs.

Our Public Works Director

Without a project management team, Rob Livick has overseen the project for five years despite having no experience in designing or operating a new wastewater treatment facility.

Our Residents

They deserve to live here without fear of losing their home. These are the people we need to protect.

Save Morro Bay is a movement.

We support local organizations dedicated to preserving quality of life for our residents, from young families living paycheck to paycheck to seniors on fixed incomes who are far too often left to decide between medication or moving. With your support, you can turn the tide and ensure that we get a project that works for all of us, not just the City Council. Chip in today!

Say No to Higher Rates

Under California law (Proposition 218), the city is required to notify residents of rate increases. Residents can say NO by writing a protest letter. Protesting is as easy as 1-2-3! Click here to learn how.
